Patrik Sjöberg is a former Swedish high-jumper. He broke the world record with 2.42 meters. Sjöberg wrote this autobiography
in order to tell the story about the sexual abuse he was exposed to as a young boy by his coach and step-father. The book sparked a discussion about the responsibility of leaders and how to protect children from sexual abuse.
The book launch was one of the topics of discussions between Swedish and Serbian experts on rights of the children at the Assistant Minister for Youth, the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development and the Ombudsman Institution for Children’s rights where the NGO’s Change Attitude, Save the Children and Incest Trauma Center presented their current programs and activities to bring awareness about sexual abuse of children.
